Over the past 2 decades Sophia has been quietly supporting people as they emerge from homelessness. Responding to the ever growing need in Ireland Sophia now directly houses 259 adults and 169 children with another 108 people supported in outreach programmes.
In recent years there have been a number of cases where people have been granted refugee status but are unable to leave direct provision because they can’t find housing.
Sophia Housing have offered to help people with refugee status and /or leave to remain to obtain suitable housing.
If you are interested, drop over to Dave’s Diner on Wednesdays between 11:30 and 1 pm. A Sophia support worker may be there and, if not, one of the New Horizon people will arrange an appointment for you.
