Equality and Social Inclusion Award

Each year Westmeath county council give their Cathoirleach awards to honour people or groups who have given special service in their community in County Westmeath.

The awards recognise the role played by many individuals and groups in helping to create a strong and vibrant community.   The Cathaoirleach Awards go some way to recognising the involvement of individuals and groups in their communities, how they can influence others to become involved and active in their communities.

The Equality and Social Inclusion Award for 2020 has been given to New Horizon volunteer Gerry Callaghan.

New Horizon is very pleased to receive this award as recognition of the work done by residents and volunteers over many years. It’s a reflection of our progress in becoming a valued part of local society.

Thank you to all residents, volunteers and supporters for all that you have done over the past twenty years.
