It gives us great pleasure to invite you to the DCU Asylum Narratives colloquium, which takes place on Friday 29th September. Highlights include:

  • The inaugural Sanctuary Lecture “Broken World, Broken Word: Resilience in the Arts of Languaging Border Distress”, delivered by Prof Alison Phipps, OBE, UNESCO Chair of Refugee Integration through Languages and the Arts, Glasgow University.
  • The critically acclaimed play, “Éire, Land of a Hundred Thousand Welcomes”by Mount Temple Comprehensive students
  • Workshop on Universities of Sanctuary

The colloquium will be held in St Patrick’s Campus Dublin City University, Dublin.

It should be quite an interesting day. The speakers are very good and our very own Chris McDermott is on the panel.
