English and Study Skills

Hello,

My name is Miriam Croke and I am an English lecturer at AIT. I have prepared a number of English courses for anyone who would like to improve their English. You can begin the course any time you like.

This English and Study Skills Course 1 course can be as short or as long as you prefer. The times for each module shown below are a suggestion for how much time you can spend at each module. You can pause or stop your modules when and where you like. When you complete each module, please photograph or screen capture the page to show that you have successfully finished the module.

To begin, please take the online English test to find out your level of English. When you reach the end of the test, you will see your level. You should make a record or take a photograph of this level. The information about your English level will help you to decide how much English you should study. For students who are planning to go to college, you need to reach B1/B2 (Upper Intermediate) or IELTS 5.0/5.5

To access these modules, you will need to create an account with Alison. All these courses are free to study.
