Patch Summer Accelerator Programme

Patch is a 6 week long, virtual summer programme for 16-20 year olds.
These participants are aspiring entrepreneurs, scientists and creators, and spend their time working on projects, learning from founders and experts in STEM, and receiving mentorship. Candidates receive €150 per week in financial support and access to laptops and software is made available.


Patch is a summer accelerator for talented 16 – 20 year olds. Participants spend 6 weeks building projects and learning from world-class scientists and entrepreneurs.  Past speakers include Mark Cummins (founder of Pointy) and Des Traynor (founder of Intercom).  Altogether, founders of businesses worth over $2 billion speak at Patch.
Past participants include 2 BT Young Scientist winners (Adam Kelly, Diana Bura).  Projects built at Patch include a 3D printing tool for Minecraft creations, an internet-based, interactive textbook and CropSafe.  The programme is free and philanthropically supported by some of Ireland’s leading entrepreneurs and Stripe.
